there aren't any turbo kits available for the duratec, people can argue it can be done without ecu tuning, but until the SCT flashers come out, none of the major focus parts companies will attempt to turbo. Though Tom was looking for a duratec to strap a turbo to

I have the Duratech tuning finished and working , I just need a car to finish the already started turbo kit

The Zetec will take about 30psi and the Duratech will take the same , with steel cranks installed i would say about 40 to 45 psi would be safe

Tom

I always here a lot of people being very silly talking about maximum "boost" or pressure that an enigne can take. It has always bugged me. Everyone says oh this is ok on these internals or with this forged or this compression. That all may be well and good, but those parts are power rated not pressure rated. Trying to use pressure as a rating is not worth anything unless you take into consideration corrected air flow. 20psi with an old t25 will sure not be the same boost as 20psi with a much larger t4 or t66. So when you ask the question how much boost or pressure can an engine take you must first ask what HP to I want to achieve and correlate the respective boost pressure with corrected air flow and fuel consumption.
