Nitrus is not flamable and is incapable of exploding by itself. It does, however, support combustion like pure oxygen so obviously there was something in there that was flamable AND there was an ignition source to set off the explosion. I think there may be a comon mis-conception that Nitrus is flamable and can explode but is not true.

that's weird. I don't get how that would happen if the car was just sitting in the garage.

true, nitrous is not flammable at all. once it reaches a high enough temperature, the nitrogen separates from the oxygen, and then the oxygen can burn, nitrogen doesn't burn. this is how nitrous makes more power in your engine...the cylinder temps are high enough to cause the separation of the N2 and Oxygen, and the oxygen gets burned with the extra fuel from a wet shot (if you used a wet shot)

Can it be the bottle heater that was let on? It builded too much pressure and BOOM.

not only that, but all nitrous bottles are equipped with a blow off valve so that if pressure exceeds safe levels (1500 psi I think), it vents the nitrous until the pressure goes down far enough. no explosion, no bottle rocketing around the place, just lots of white fog in the air. happened at my friend's apartment

I have one question?: Since things blow out, what caused all the inward dents on the rear 1/4 panel? I call BS.

well no....look at the last picture....it appears that the left rear quarter panel has been nearly peeled off, as if he were to back into something that caught it...i still dont know about it....if nitrous it seems like something maybe...MAYBE had to strike the bottle or something different thats either explosive or densly packed....but i tend to think bs
