Question aerocharger turbo swap for t28

I noticed this on bell engineering's site (http://www.bellengineering.net/Pages...ussystems.html) when i was buying oil for my AC3. At the bottom of that page they have a conversion kit from the aerodyne to a t28. Anyone heard about this or has actually seen this kit?

yes, but i wouldn't think it's incredible if you really look at what you get, there's no tuning or fuel management that comes with this kit.

jake, you have the ac3 installed? how many miles? i'm gonna install the ac3 as is at first and go from there. based on what i'm hearing, nothing spools as fast as the aerodyne, but the gt28r is pretty darn nice still (or, if you can afford it, gt28rs).

I have had both the Aerocharger stage 3 and the GT28R based PTE kit...

With the AC in the AC kit location, even with an ORP instead of cat, I would say the GT in the PTE location is at least as fast. My dyno plots show more torque earlier with the GT. If the AC was located in the conventional location with a nice header like the PTE uses, it very likely would be faster... but still with the very possible penalty of overspooling the little guy if running somewhere in the 200 WHP neighborhood.

Jake what ever caused your engine to blow anyway?

I guess that explains it then..
Rod-
My motor went because of a lack of a good tune.. I took the head off and the head gaket looked liked swiss cheese and two of the pistons looked really burnt.. I haven't looked over the block completely but I think there maybe a small crack.. Sucks but a new one is here and more powerful ready to go.. sorry for the jack of your thread.. good luck with the swap if you do it..
