Aerocharger turbo swap

I need to know if a t3/t4 will fit in the possition of the aerocharger turbo on my kit, or any other suitable alternative. I am aware of the gt28r, but from what i have seen they are very expensive. I have a friend who owns a performance shop and custom fabrication of pipe is no big deal. Thanks.

I would say NO it wont , Why would you want to put the worst , old school , slowest spooling turbo you could put anywhere on the Zetec

At least go with a t3 it may fit and will spool MUCH quicker than a t3t4

A small turbo will spool quicker and that will be needed because of how far the turbo is from the head , I wouldnt cut any corners and go for at least a t3 ballbearing

i just figured cause it was so cheap and easy to find. I dont want to spend $1000 on just a turbo. I wasnt trying to cut corners. I just want a good, reasonably priced turbo for my setup. Im not going huge boost. I dont know a whole lot about turbos, now that i know t3/4's are crap, i will look in another direction. Any other ideas?? Would a T3 fit??

I just got my T3. This may sound like a stupid question. Should you be able to turn the compressor wheel by hand??? I have been around a lot of turbo's but come to think of it I have never tried it. Mine doesnt spin at all. If there is something wrong with it, i am going to e mail the guy and tell him i want my $ back.

Here is the link:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWN:IT

I was kind of dissapointed, because I thought i was going to be able to use the flanges off of the piping, but they are just a bunch of crush bent pipes, with Home Depot couplers. Im not sure what the injectors are for, and vacuum and oil lines are just fuel hose. I am going to have to order new oil lines, flanges, and pretty much everything that when i ordered i thought it came with. I am probably going to just re-sell it. Bummer, cause i was hoping to get started on the kit this weekend. Ohh, and i thought it was an external wastegate, but i got it and it has an internal on it, so i would have to find something to do with the Tial 38mm I just ordered. Ohh well...you win some you lose some...
