Focussport Supercharger!!!

Hey just wanted to let everyone know, just incase they didnt know allready that for the 2005 year focussport is going to be selling a VF Supercharger kit. Its using the vortech supercharger and i believe they are using their own setup. It comes with a free tuned chip. It has two stages, one offering i think a 35% increase in power and the stage 2 offering a 65% increase in power, thats awesome...that competes with normall turbo setups...plus that gives power in all ranges...... and for those that allready have the focussport header, this kit will bolt right on using that header.....i didnt see a price for it yet, and its not on their site yet, but i got this 2005 product list from them in the mail the other day and saw that and was like YYEEAAHH ... just thought yall would like to hear that...

QUOTE "that competes with normall turbo setups ,35% increase in power and the stage 2 offering a 65% "

Every turbo kit on the market for the Focus will do a 80 to 100% on pump gas increase at the wheel and what is the increase TQ wise with this SC

Yes, tom is correct with that comment... i did have time today and i called up focus sport to get more information on this setup, they said that they will also be offering stage 3 as well, and with this setup they include cams. They are actually in the process of testing this right now soo i forsee even better results with this.. so if stage one is what it is.. and stage 2 is 65% increase, then a stage three might yeild gains similar to the turbo, PLUS you will be feeling these gains earlier than the turbo...

Also they said that they are planning on making stage 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and so on, you get the point.. soo they said that not only are they tryin to make power, they are making kits for EVERY price range.. and the kits are also made to be installed with utmost ease.

I didnt ask about the svtf he only asked me if i had the zetec engine, so i dont know..

And as for Toms kit, his is impressive, and you pay for what you get.....but once again its a money issue/installation ease issue for focussport, they are making kits for a wide range of people. I know i am personally interested in the stage 2/3 kit.. so maybe ill end up with a 2.5 lol, i think its great they are doing that type of thing. so you can slowly upgrade to higher stages as you get more money... ya kno... late

They just updated the website with a 360 view a nice on engine stand pic, the price ain't too shabby either;

http://focussport.com/supercharger.htm

I call shenanigans on the filter to sc section though. I think a far better solution is to increase the length of the wiring to the MAF sensor and locate the whole thing in the pass side wheel well/radiator support area.

looks promising, I hate this just when i decided on a turbo they come out with a kill supercharger for the price. When the time comes to get a FI there will be some deciding do to. At least two to three times a year someone comes out with somthing cool. Then right after that Tom comes out with something. Good for the focus community bad for deciding
