1/4 mile times anyone?
I would like to know what others are getting as far as 1/4 mile times with their turbo focus.
I got a 14.92 at 93.7 MPH in
Lentech Auto with LSD
Internally Stock Zetec
Top Speed Turbo Kit
CFM 65mm TB on Y2K Manifold
Full 2.5inch exhaust
12psi of boost
350lb Driver and 200lbs of stereo in the car.
I did this on my G-Meter, but supposedly it is very accurate.
Is that a good time?
And they say go turbo ...
I ran about that (higher trap speed) with my N/A car.
But check the drag race section.
Kinda sucks but then again your doing it off a g-meter and not a track where you can get 60foot and accurate times ,I have seen many of the g-meters off by a little to a lot

Stock engine you should be high 13`s to low 14`s

I think thats it so far. New engine is on the stand in the garage and should be ready for spring.

That 550-600lbs of weight is going to make a huge difference. You've piled on sway bars and audio equipment that will only hurt your speed. You're basically trying to power a Mustang with a Focus motor now. [rofl]
Given the added weight, tires, boost, and transmission I say that's about right.
On my old turbo at 11psi mine ran 13.6 @ 102, but I weighed around 180lbs, pulled weight from the car, manual transmission, and drag radials.
Light is fast.
My car ran a mid 13: mods as follows
2004 ZX5 5-speed Gutted completely, even behind the dash
Stock Zetec with 50k miles
16G from EVO 11psi
Stock 16s, stock tires
Yeah, you should definitely be running quicker than that. A 2.3 duratec with basic bolt-ons and a good driver can hit the mid 14 mark. A stock SVTf is in the low 15s.
Get yourself out to a proper drag-strip and get the real numbers from a few different passes. Be sure to record the altitude of the track and the temperature outside.
