well you need a lot. all the piping for the intercooler, a 3 inch exhaust would help, 70mm MAF. check out focus-power.com. actually it looks like his site is still down. anyways he has a starter kit that includes all the piping for the turbo and he also has another kit that includes injectors, 70mm MAF, and he has an intercooler kit too. so pretty much everything you need he has. oh yeah u need tuning too. SCT would be the way to go. im certainly no expert on turbos but i hope this helps a little.

Don't forget a larger intake manifold if you expect to push a significant amount of boost.

You do not need a new intake manifold. A new intake manifold is the LEAST of your concerns right now.

Get the book "Maximum Boost" by Corky Bell. It will help you if you want to go through the headache and heartache of designing your own turbo kit.

Before you go any further, I recommend you do some research on your own. Don't trust any of us. We ALL have our opinions (good and bad )

A good, basic read is Corky Bell's Maximum Boost, ISBN: 0-8376-0160-6.

The next step in good literature would be Forced Induction Performance Tuning by A. Graham Bell, ISBN: 1-85960-691-1.

Aside from going through the actual engineering and hardcore theory, both books will give a very good detailed look at the basics. Once you finish there, check out Sport Compact Car. They had a series a few years back called "Suck, Squish, Bang, Blow" and that was also a pretty good practical approach. Once you finish reading, you should have enough knowledge to really understand what you're after.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to post them. There are plenty of knowledgeable people here (and on other forums). There is just too much information out there to reiterate and put in this thread. Good luck with the project!

How much power do you want to make? How much money do you have? Are you looking for brand names or are you looking for types of FMICs?
