Turboing stock focus???

So I was thinking about turboing my focus with stock block and internals but only running about 7 psi or less. I'm wanting to know how the motor holds up. If anybody had tried it how did it turn out, and did it last ?

What do you mean by last?

You can't expect a tired engine to last as long as it already has under even more stress.
Will it hold up for a little while, probably. But don't expect miracles.

Further, everything will hinge on the condition of the engine at present.
If it's in dire need of maintenance, start fresh. You'll only end up spending as much repairing parts when they fail (maybe in spectacular form).

Can a well maintained and good running engine take 7psi, yes. Providing the tune is good and maintenance is kept up.

Yea I think ima just pull another engine and build it and turbo that then swap it in

I am interested in forced induction on a 2013 Focus S and was curious if it has the same engine internals as the ST.
I have looked everywhere online, that i can think of, for the information and spoke with Ford techs still have not found the info i need.

If anyone could tell me what's inside that would be awesome.
my apologies if this is in the wrong place, if the info is already on this site, or if the question is silly. I am new to this but the idea is intriguing.

if i'm not mistaken the 2.0EB in the ST runs a lower compression than the current D20. the current D20 has like a 12 something compression ratio which i don't think is boost friendly.... high boost anyways..

I read a post on this site about the same topic of compression ratio and someone mentioned that it is boost friendly and that the higher compression causes more power with less boost.

what i am really after is info on the pistons, cranks, gaskets, and other internal works that may be the same as the ST.
i was let to believe they may be by a Ford tech but I'm not willing to risk destroying my engine on a maybe.

Well I believe the ST has stronger internals to handle the double digit amount of boost it runs on which I think is 16psi and can go up to 20psi Someone correct me if im wong
