Precision Turbo. HELP!!!

Guys, I really need your help here. the thing is a called Precision racing yesterday
and I got to talk to a guy about the garretturbo you can buy from them. and it's for
3995 with everything. but the thing is I already have a long tube raceheader and I don't
want the chip. I told him all that, and he said it wasnt any problems. but when I look at
the header that I have now, I realise its not gonna work. cuz the turbo comes in the
middle of the header. thats what it looks like on the picture at precisonracing. All im
wondering will this work or not on my car with this header??

If it comes with everything, just replace your header with the one in the kit. You won't be able to do anything with the one you have. Sell it.

oke, so if I use this header that i just bought, I cant turboconvert my car, right?
So my question to you guys, what is there for me to do next? Since the turbokit
aint gonna work with the header I have. Any tips of what I should start saving
money for. Already got the header, racecatalyst and airfilter. Would it work for
example if I bougth a Vortech Supercharger?
Take Care

Alex

right you need a different exhaust manifold that can mate up with the turbo. and i think this manifold should come with the kit so its not like you have to completely abandon your plan. however it would work with any supercharger, because they are seperate from the exhaust. but you might wanna get a 65mm tb and try to get a 2k ported intake manifold and then you could get either kit and just upgrade the engine internals and then you can start upping the boost.

aerocharger turbo's can use a race header but they are kinda hard to find because the company is out of business.

^^^^ what he said, but if you want one I have a fairly complete kit sitting around.. The precision kit would work, just remove your race header and sell it.. If you go turbo you need to have a chip or reflashed computer.. It is very unsafe to run more fuel and boost without addressing the issues of tuning.. good luck though

oke thanks fellas. but ill think ill go with the supercharger instead, cus I just got the raceheader.
The thing is I live in sweden, and I was just wondering how much you have to pay for the
Vortech supercharger in the states.

To focuz04, you said if I got the turbo, i had to chip or reflash the computer. do you have to do
that if you supercharge it aswell?

And to imprtslyr0223, what is a 2k ported intake manifold. I probably know what its in swedish
but in english i dont

And one last thing. lets say that you have to get another chip if you supercharge. and then if I
after that would wish to do something else in the engine, like optimizing the cylinderhead or get
a new performace cylinderhead would I have to upgrade the chip again?
Sorry for my ignorance but the carworld is all new to me

Take care everybody

for all of us here in the states the year 2000 focus had a 1 piece intake manifold which is much better than the newer intake manifolds. but i think your car should already have the one piece intake manifold because for some reason everywhere but the states has the mani. and you can get it ported and polished for a little extra flow. but as for the chip, superchips makes a chip that can be tuned and custom flashed for the mods you have on your car. if you get new mods like a cylinder head you can just get it reflashed.
