I've been confused why there hasn't been an affordable aftermarket metal manifold for um ... 12 years now. The plastic crap is just begging for multiple problems. Hell, in stock form they suck.
IMHO, there's money to be made. Only what, a million or so of them on US roads. and probably half have some mild leak with the manifold.

you're right. Jim and chaz still make them for the zetec AND they fit properly unlike some competitor products out there

i used to want one but I changed my mind because I didn't want to convert a couple of the lines to vacuum lines. like the brake booster line and such. wich is why I stuck with the OEM one. im at the point now where I just want it fully tuned for low and high boost and just leave it

all you have to do it pull the plastic hose off at the check valve and put a rubber hose on from there to the IM. very simple.

yeah it is really easy to pull that hard line off the check valve. just a little heat and it will slip right off and you can just put a rubber line on the check valve barb. its what i did with the v8 swap

if you end up needing a new IM i'll go check the local pull a part for a 2k IM for you if you want

I already had tim make me the pipe for the stock manifold. don't want to spend more dollars for another intake AND modified pipe

yea no shit, the powers addicting but the problems are getting under my skin more and more. I haven't even experienced a full tune either. when I am full throttle and thought was full tune I was mis firing a lot because of a leak wich is at this damn throttle body
