turbo a 2.0 duratec?
Im selling my street bike in the spring. should get around 2000$ im just wondering on how much it would cost to turbo my d20. i got the catback exhaust, cai, havent got my header yet or my tune yet because i dont know what i should do. im looking to make a street sleeper. ive found ebay kits for like 1000$ with all the tubing, turbo, intercooler. did alittle reading on them and they seem legit. but being a ebay kit it just seems to good to be true haha. Then of course im sure id need internal work. ive never done anything like this on a car so i dont know what i would need or what this engine is capable of pushing on stock internals. only thing ive done is port and polish a 212cc engine and put it on a little bike frame and rebuilt it. Prices would be awesome to know, and what to buy. Im on a limited budget unfortunetly.
Any help is great :)

ebay kits suck. search on this forum for info on them. nothing fits.

You can run an FSWerks kit on your stock engine

Fswerks is out of my budget. I could buy a cosworth engin for the price there asking pretty much. But I was also thinking of going to a scrap yard and picking up a 2.3 duratec head and just clean it up. Any of you guys know if it's a direct bolt on?

if the fswerks kit is out of your price range then you probably dont need to turbo your car. their kit seems high but includes every thing from fueling to tuning along with the kit. a decent turbo and wg combo will cost you close to the price of whole ebay kit. 600 dollar for a precision turbo and 200 for a wg, getting every thing else for 200 after that is impossible

my kit will be cheaper than theirs but it will just be the fabrication part of the kit and you will need to source the fueling and tuning on your own. unlike their kit my kit will have a tubular manifold and larger dp and charge piping and an external wg. im hoping to have my complete kit at or below 3k but i will not know for sure until i get it built.
