Forced induction MPG
I was kinda wondering what kinda mpg guys get going FI i've heard the motor responds better to it.I was wondering if you guys could list
A.what kinda kit you have what psi you run and how much hp
B.how often you drive it
C.how hard you drive it
D.city or highway miles
E.whats your average mpg
F.any other comments you have about everything you've done
it all depends on ur tune and ur right foot, with boosti can not baby drive, idc bout mpg
B. Daily driver
C. Didn't beat on it everyday but had my share of fun
D. 80% highway, 20% city
E. Highway - 30-32 MPG, City - Less, Cruising/Having fun - much less, Average Weekly - 27 MPG
F. Get a good tune. The less right foot you use, the better the MPG

E. So far 21.98 mpg with 1800 miles driven
F. Other FE mpg breakdown as follows:
27.90 Stock Injectors, with tune (41,000 miles)
28.82 Stk Inj, underdrive pulleys (7400 miles driven), ongoing tune
27.37 42lb Inj, UDP (4070 miles)
23.94 Stage 3+ South Bend clutch with LSD installed, DW Conti tires (2500 mi)
21.98 Turbo with all above (42lb Inj) (1800 miles)
I don't quite understand the 3.43 mpg drop with a clutch, LSD and DW Conti p225 tires, but I have brief data that shows loads increased with the clutch and LSD install without the new tires. The installers bent the clutch disk the first time so I regret letting them do the LSD. I am fairly convinced that the preload is not correct, contributing to the increased load, but the trans is still turning. Hiway loads are higher and deceleration rates are higher, pointing to a rolling load increase in the trans.
Has anyone else seen a substantial FE drop with an LSD install??
Anybody have a good SVT trans installer in the Detroit area?
I keep constant FE data everytime I get fuel. The results speak for themselves....even the UDP's....dont tell Tom because that will be a whole other thread...
Self made kit. Drive it like i stole it. Got into boost every time i get into the car 478whp and 483wtq 25psi. Drove it everyday. Mixed driving city/hwy i would average 24-27mpg. got as high as 35mpg one time. i found i actually get better milage getting into a bit of boost on normal driving.. about 5-10psi.. My normal setting was 15psi 378whp and 383wtq with the occasional high setting pull.
A. Automatic JRSC w/ bbk 12 psi
B. Summer Only
C.cruise mode with occasional racing
D.city highway 50-50
E. on average 32 mpg ill get 35 mpg one time and then get 30 mpg another.
F. Have ALL bolt ons, no internal work done, all mods on my profile.
Depends on how often you hit boost lol
