oil-less (Triplex Ceramic™ only) COMP turbo ?

It's a multiviscosity grease. At temp it flows like an oil.
The CHRA has a larger flow area for coolant.

There is a local guy who had one. I haven't talked to him directly and this is 2nd hand info but, from what I'm told he ran the turbo for about 6 months and it ate the bearings. It was returned to Comp for analysis. I'm not sure what's happened since. I do know that he's since switched back to a traditional oil/coolant BB turbo.

IMHO, while a novel approach and a good US based company, I just don't trust the oil-less turbo designs. I'm far more confident in using tried and proven designs, which, IMO, Comp does quite well with their BB designs.

Comps turbos are BBB (trip BB) , I have a customer with the oil less for about 10 months now hard 400HP driving and doing fine , you MUST run water to them and it MUST be run from the cool side of the raid not the hot side , do that and they seem to be living , all the ones I know that have failed were not run from the cool side of the raid or no water at all
