you won't believe this!!!!!!!!!!!!

i just bought a jrsc for 1475 canadian ($1235 us) including shipping. it's never been installed. the only thing wrong with it is that it's missing some nut+bolts, a vacuum hose, and a gasket.

i figured it was a pretty sweet price that i couldn't pass up.
i'm getting it next week.

i'm thinking a jrsc at this price is better than blowing 4 times as much on a turbo. turbos definitely faster, but at this price, who would bitch?

Sounds like a good deal, just inspect it well, I would even try to get it on the car and running in that amount of time, that will leave you some cash to up the boost later as well. Check the bearings on the nose of the unit for too much freeplay, otherwise, look into the blower vanes and see if there is alot of wear in there ( light scuffing is acceptable ).. Good luck.

sounds good. i have one question for you... should i be checking all of this even though it's never been installed? i appreciate the tips on what to look out for. is there anything else i should be looking for? i plan on installing it over a couple of days once i get the missing bolts and such.

make sure to inspect it well. also, make sure you get plenty of good high quality pics so you can confirm he has it and that it really is new.

out of curiosity, where are you buying from (canada, us, etc)? the reason i say that is that even if you sign a contract, you're not really protected - you'd spend more money pursuing this than you'd get back... anyway, just something to be aware of.
