Turbo compression ratio

i have a turbo build going on and need some help picking a head gasket for the right c/r. the block has 9:1 je pistons and the head is milled to be 10.5:1, so i know i would be around 10:1 on the c/r. i dont know where i would want to be on c/r but i would say near stock or under.

other parts of my build if it helps:
gt35 .70 a/r c-.63 a/r t
custom ram horn top mount mani
ported head with o/s valves & FR springs(flows 260I/240E)
FRIM and throttle body
3" exhaust
cams 230 I/E@.050 with .411 lift.
esslinger cam gears
crower rods
billet main caps

A "Myth" thats interesting

Higher compression means more heat , heat in the Cyl is the killer to ALL boosted engines lower compression engines have LESS HEAT and sence this is a Focus Forum we need to keep in mind the engine he is running which is a VERY INEFFICIENT Zetec engine which plays a HUGH role in picking the static compression and boost your going to run as well as cam profile , combustion chamber , intercooler size , turbos CFM per psi boost , turbo manifold
ALL needs to be taken into account when saying low compression with boost is a myth

The Zetec engine at 9.6 makes close to the same power as the SVT does at 10.2 compression thats with the exact same turbo kit and tune BUT it did make slightly better mid range TQ but less top end TQ because more timing had to be taken out both were small in the amount of TQ gained and lost

It isnt a "myth" at all when you calculate all the factors , if you want a monstor engine that makes hugh power your not going to use a lot and dont mind running 100+ octane fuel then do 11-1 and add the boost , If you want some thing thats going to live , that you can have fun with and run 93 octane then lower the compression to about 9.0 choose the right turbo for how your going to be driving and go have fun , The Diff in 9.0 to 10.0 wouldnt be worth the gain vs the issues

Look at it this way just a ruff example
9.5 engine with 18psi making 350hp your Cyl temps would be "Y"
8.5 engine with 18psi making 330hp your cyl temps are "X" add 3psi more boost and your Cyl temp is now "Y" again but your now at 370hp

Any good engine builder and tuner would first have to look at what engine your boosting , how efficient it is , intercooler , intake , turbo manifold , cams , combustion chamber etc , It isnt a "myth" at all

9.0 to 9.2 would be my choice

That would be hard to say what your power would be would need a lot more info and remote tuning works great and saves you a ton of dyno time money , I have dynoed a good bit of my remote tunes and there was very very little that had to be changed and most nothing at all got changed in the tune

i would like to break 400 or get near it since my stock engine on a kkk k24 draw thru made 189whp 233tq. untuned no intercooler

400 isnt hard to get to , I would still do 9.0-9.2 you do have to deal with 93 octane fuel and it isnt boost friendly

It could be remote tuned
