My parts list include JE pistong with Eagle rods. A kesatie motorsports zetec turbo kit with 60lbs injectors and a water meth inj. Kit. And I have a kenne bell BAP, water pump, oil pump, new timing n serpentine belts, ford oem headgasket, ARP main head bolts. Anything else I mioght b e forgettung idk there's alotYep as of today I had my lemon towed to my fathers garage and I got it up on stands. I drained the oil and removed the cam gear cover and the coolant resevoir tank so far. Its 9 o clock now and I didn't get the car towed till 6 due to our snow causing every towe truck being busy the last 6 days. Anyways here some pics of car at home and car in garage.
i will be offering 2.5" hot side intercooler piping and only 3" cold side piping. i would like for my kit to be able to upgraded with out the customer having to change any thing or have any trouble. b/c as we both know starting with stock engine and 220whp is very rarely where some one stops. most end up wanting a built engine and more boost. i chose 3" cold side b/c i dont think it will hurt performance or driveability enough to warrant me not using it for its future power potential.
the same with my manifold. i made it large enough to hold a 3582r but there is no reason some one cant put a super60 on it with stock engine. i'll be offering a log version and a tubular version of my manifold as well.
its all a compromise but i dont think 3" cold side is much of a compromise.
the miata 1.8bp is all i have to test with right now. i dont plan to buy a focus just to test these. there are a few people that have the piping now so it wont be long till there are some dyno's out there. if you would like some cold side piping to test or mess with let me know Tom.
2.5 will make it easly to 450-500 HP , 3 inch to 1200HP
You can only move the amount of air the turbo opening can flow out and unless you have a 600+ hp turbo there 2.25 and smaller most are 2 inch or smaller

guys can someone help me with this issue? sorry for being posting it here but I really need to done with this thing on the weekend
also how do you guys prive engine before starting it ?
this engine has been without oil for year already in the garage and which oil I can use?
that engine had less then 50k on it when I took it off and I used 5W20 mobil1 all the time http://www.focusfanatics.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4777172#post4777172
prime the oil pump with oil first, then unhook coilpack n fuel press fuse and crank over with another car powering the battery with jumpr cables till u get 80psi
prime can be done my disconnecting the fuel injector harness and turning the engine over for a couple mins. must have a good battery to spin it fast enough. good idea to take plugs out so it can spin it easier
maybe, I installed a t3 turbine gasket, tightened the shit out of the bolts to the manifold n turbo till I damn near broke the wrench and put everything back, it seems to respond to boost better all thou the full boost rpm didn't go down by much
got tims 3 inch cold side pipe kit today and sprayed 3 coats of high temp black paint on them to match my hot side black pipe. here is what it looks like now
and then from last week a 16 psi pull at night in third gear
pulls good. turbo cant seem to make up its mind whether to spool or not lol.
iirc you can change that shift light with sct to only come on at redline. that thing always bothered me
