vortech question???

hey i was just wondering how high you can boost the vortech w/ aftercooler kit. like say if you had a built engine with a head, pistons, cams, etc. how much hp could be made using the vortech. whats it's max power capabilities.

Are you talking about the stock supercharger for their kit? If so around 15-20 psi with the belt I believe but I might be wrong. IDK about the rest, I tend to stay away from the sc.

is there another alternative from the "stock" supercharger. the reason im asking this is because im just wondering how you can make my focus the fastest using only 10 grand. most likely it would be turbo but i need to stay emissions legal. the only other route that i could take would be a v8 swap but im not gonna post it here. but anybody who can tell me how to achieve the most hp from 10 grand your info is wanted greatly.

I would look at the new procharger sc kit. It gives you as much if not more power then the vortech and you don't have to drill into your oilpan to cool the charger. It is also cheaper to and procharger is a very respected name in S/Crs espeacially for mustangs. Thats what I would go with if they had the kit out for the SVTF.

You need to add a clutch to your list. Stock clutch won't hold that much power. I think C-F-M has a 12 second Vorteched Focus if I'm not mistaken.

i run 13 psi with my vortech and i have stock internals. i make about 220 whp with a bad MAF. if you do get the kit get a IAT relocation kit, cfm sells them for 45 dollars on thier site, and use a maf from a mustang. much better and easier to tune than a pro-m which is what i have. i need to get it replaced.

so basically with aftermarket and forged internals your talking over 250 hp. but about the aerocharger kit....i thought that was a turbo kit??? what does an aerocharger kit go for anyways and where could i get one??? and yeah for a clutch i would most likely be going with a clutchmasters stage 3.

The stock engine will take 250HP at the wheels with no problem ,,Turbo will be your best bet but emmissions will kill that

The V8 would not be emmission legal either
