How much do i need to upgrade my car?

hi guys, I think u guys know my setup, If not go to my site and check here

I want to biuld a strong engine internal to hold a cold canadian winter( like below -35 avg). Like piston and rods.If i want my car get about 270 whp and 250 wtq, are piston and rods enough or i need to get heads and crank too? I am really a dummy for engine internals. Until now All i am doing is bolt ons except the cams.

anyway, I want to know how much for a good quilty engine internal parts. and How much hours do i need to install those?

P.S I need Toms u advice.

well engine block heater and battery warmer are a must (im sure you already have those, being in Montreal). Other then that i dont think anything will make that much of a difference (more hp doesnt mean better protection in cold weather). But good luck with that, it must be getting pretty cold now huh?

its like 70 here in alabama....anyway cant you put block filler in it.. if its that cold cooling should not be a problem.it wont help internals but it will make a stronger block.

Your not going to reach your goal of 270 whp and 250 wtq, centrifugal blowers on our cars make quite a bit less torque.

really, I asked Clint from http://www.unnaturally-aspirated.com/clints-car.htm
He's zx3 has 275 whp and 250 wtq without NOS.

I don't that i need a Head or Piston and Rods to build a strong block?

And where exactly can I see clints dyno, its not on there site?

Traditionally cetrifugally blown foci make much less wtq than whp, this is evident in the curve.

I can also see that he has significant work in his car, like a ported cylinder head, ported intake manifold, built internals etc.

Oddly enough there is no mention of how that car is tuned? Also, the car is using crower stage 2 cams, which have alot of overlap and that isn't good for a blower car, thats just common knowledge.

Personally I agree with u . Focus' tq always less than whp. But i Don't really know how big the gap could be. As big as SVT, I don't think so. Focaltech, U can e-mail clint and He will send u the Dyno chart. Their shop can the program the diablo chip. I think that is how they tune their cars.

My turbo kits almost allways have MORE TQ than HP

I have done MANY Vortech Foci and never see only a loss of 25pound foot of TQ ,,Now saying that with the same amount of boltons he has and with my turbo kit you would be doing 280HP and 285TQ at the wheels if not 300/300
