Cool almost positive this hasn't been asked *question about JRSC*

well i'm hoping by Oct. 2nd, i'll have enough saved up for a JRSC. i've got 2300 now, but i want to have around 3K to be on the safe side *for installation purposes*. anyhow, thats not why i made this thread, the reason behind it is for my existing mods already. i noticed *maybe i'm wrong* but it looks like the SC just kinda bolts on to the engine and i can keep my mods. correct me if i'm wrong please. i have the volant cai and a 65mm tb. if i can't keep these it looks like i'm going to have to post in the buy/sell section. but like i said, judging by the only picture i've seen for the JRSC, it looks like i can keep them.

you can keep the box of the volant but not the intake tube. the tb is a good thing.

only thing you really cant have is a UDP. might want to consider a catback too. gonna be a lot more air trying to go thru your engine.

will volant still be effetive? i.e. still produce the power it should by taking that away? i have a full catback borla exhaust, figured that was the only way to go

the volant will increase the effectiveness of the supercharger due to lower restriction in the intake tract. I would look to switching to a cold air intake setup (put your filter in the fender well) because superchargers love cold air. the gains won't be much, but there will be some gain.

you can't use the UDP, you'll just be underdriving your power adder, however, Focus Central has an Overdrive pulley that you can use that will add 2 or so lbs of boost.

I beilive that the jrsc will work better with a short ram style rather than a cold air intake. This is only because it won't have to pull the air up through as much tubing to get it into the engine. I would stick with the volant or go with the FS cool flo or just a filter.

i think that the colder air will override the extra foot or so that the air has to travel........

yeah, i wouldn't think that an UDP would work; i'd hate to do this cause i like my hood a lot, but isn't there a volant hood or something like that, that would feed more cold air into it instead of running it down by the fenders?
