Turbo CAI Question

So I was watching Fast and the Furious again (part1) cause some of my friends rented it (AGAIN) and i was watching the first race sequence between Paul walkers and vin diesel...when they pop open the hood of the eclipse one guy starts spitting out stuff like cold air intake etc etc then t4 turbo...

now here's the question: dont turbo's prevent you from using a CAI? Better yet, wouldn't u use an intercooler setup instead especially on such a race car? just curious to see if it was a factual mistake or not on top of that trying to learn more about turbo's.

I do not know very much about turbos but i am pretty sure that air is sucked in by the turbo then goes threw the i/c.........so there can be cai on the part that sucks...............
Also you can put cai on stock turbo cars so, yeah, it makes sense.......to me at least

most turbos use their own intake, the intercooler comes after the turbo which is after the intake so that has nothing to do w/ it

I'm going to try to adapt my Volant to work with my turbo set-up, but I might just seel it to make money instead, lol. You can use a CAI, but I can't imagine its all that effective, b/c compressiong the air makes it hot anyway, so I'd think its kind of pointless

why though? if you have a turbocharger your beyond an intake really, whatever kit you get/make should have whats suitable for it, the only turbo i could think of that might be able to use the volant box, is the aerocharger system, since it was made to use the stock box anyway
