Pick up my car tomorrow

hi all,

finally my car has been completed. but was very disappointed when i was told it has 200BHP and 210Torque, i paid the extra and got a 2.5" exhaust from the down pipe and 3" tail pipe. also hoping for a bit more power as i was told the figure is Conservative, but not a chance only 200BHP I'm going there tomorrow, hopefully the guy is talking at the wheels. if not ill be asking them to try and get some more.

Ill update tomorrow.

the kit is a:-
GT28
OMEX550
Focus RS Injectors
FMIC
Tubular Mani
Custom made Down pipe and Exhaust
obviously alot more goes into it, but thats the main parts i know of.

So what can i tell them to set the boost at? ive seen ppl on here with 250WHP with out replacing Connecting rods.

cheers.

I don't see 250whp happening on 93octane, the best you can hope for is 220ish, so i'd say, unless Tom tunes your car, 200 at the wheels is not that bad. Also, the 210torque is pretty good. Post the dyno graph when you get it.

im in the UK so its 97Octane, and it was setup by a very well known company that do cosworths, and RS's and used to supply track cars. in the UK they are the ppl to go to. but it would seem that they dont want to brake my car so wont tune the car with any more power.

200WHP would be brilliant but being the UK we all talk fly...

Looks good! Should be a very nice driver.

Your "97 octane" is actually 97 RON, no? Our fuel is rated by PON (pump octane number) which is the average of the Research Octane Number and the Motor Octane Number. If your 97 is in fact 97 RON, it is most likely very comparable to our 92 or so. If that is the case those output numbers seem pretty good to me.

I take it that is a GT28R as opposed to a GT28RS?

The torque might be a little soft in the 3-4K range. Are you using a boost only referenced water injection system? That might be resulting in too much water too soon.

It looks to me like they probably gave you a tune with a little bit of safety margin built in - certainly not a bad thing.

How does she drive?

Hmm, well it says recommended 98RON, (Shell optimax) or SuperUnleaded 97RON, what ever that would be....

Its the GT28 Which is Roller Bearing, the GT28R is BallBearing. as for GT28RS... i dont know what that is... google is sure to tell me.

The Boost is 0.8 bar at 5600 and they said they then made the boost drop to 0.6. they said that they aren't willing to take it any higher because it will be a expensive way to find out how much the rods can handle... but the guy told me with a boost controller we would be able to take it to 240BHP with out connecting rods...

Because of the standard compression being used the acceleration is great, although investing in a ATB LSD would be beneficial

So do you have the ST170 or a ZX3 Euro focus? (I hate it how the europeans always get something better than the US)...
