JRSC Install

Hey guys, I'm looking at this special buy for the JRSC and does anybody know of a local installer in the Denver area, just in case I decide not to do the install myself. Is there special tuning that has to done after install? Any additional info added, would be appreciated.

i bet trenz would do it. but i hate those guys, they overcharge on everything.

im going to be getting the jrsc too, shouldnt be too hard to install as long as i take my time. just basically a new pulley, hanging the belt, and the mani swap with the blower bolted on. when are u looking at getting yours? im hoping to have mine around the middle of october if all goes well.

do you have anything else done? im in aurora too. never knew thats where you were from. im putting my springs on saturday afternoon if you would want to drop by. i can get some other focus owners over and we can have a lil g2g and take some pix.

Euro,

I can get mine anytime. I don't have any mods at this time, I've been pretty concerned about the warranty aspects. Are you going to install yours? I'm willing to install mine, but I just don't want to mess up. What mod's would recommend beyond a CATback that won't give warranty problems?

im going to install my own.

other mods would be:

fs cool flo
throttle body
catback
flex pipe
cam gears
big boost pulley
sct chip/diablo revolution

i dont know much about warranties besides mine being expired. if u do need warranty work you can take the chip out and put the stock one back in. not sure if cam gears would void it, basically, they have to be able to prove the problem was caused by the aftermarket part. so if you want, you could get a header/cat too so you still pass emissions but dont choke up airflow.

what do you think about comin out tomorrow for the spring install?

Euro,

I think coming out tomorrow will work for me if it's mid afternoon or later. I have to work!

I did not know a chip was involved! I thought the stock chip was used with the JRSC. Will there be special tuning involved?

PM me with your address and phone # if you want.

i work till noon so it will be around 2 or so. ill send you a pm.

there isnt a special chip, jr includes their "black box" tuning as they call it. but better power gains will definately be seen from the JRSC with a different tune. generally, if you stay around 5-6 psi, not a whole lot is needed for tuning which is why the black box tune is kind of mild. but with more boost and a better tune you can alter ignition timing to take advantage and burn a higher octane fuel, also raise the rev limiter, change the fuel curve, and a # of different things.

check your pm.
