My random forced induction question thread.. (rep points given)

Since I will be installing my turbo kit soon i'll have ALOT of questions, and here is a chance for you to get some rep points!!! The first person to respond with an answer to my question that works will get rep!

ALSO im making this a thread so that anyone else that has these questions can look in here too so im making it like a Q&A layout, your answer will be quoted up here in the "A:" space provided :)

Q:ok this might be a dumb question but.... does anyone know where i can get some charge piping? i just need the aluminum intercooler piping.. autozone doesn't carry any...
A:

Q:Also cheap couplers? like i mean CHEAP couplers, probably ebay or something?
A:

Q:should the BOV be further away from the MAF sensor? like 12 inches or something? because mine is connected to a pipe right infront of the MAF
A:

A: Check out www.cxracing.com and look in their aluminum piping sections the have some nice kits that come with 4ply couplers. I just got a 2.5" and 3" kit that i bought from them and they are really nice quaulity pieces and the piping is thicker than the maf housing i got from Topspeed.

Q:Also cheap couplers? like i mean CHEAP couplers, probably ebay or something?
A: See above.

Q:should the BOV be further away from the MAF sensor? like 12 inches or something? because mine is connected to a pipe right infront of the MAF
A:I'm not sure where yours is can you post a pic?
Added my answers above.

Bov should be as close to the IC as possible, the CX kit comes with brackets as well, at least the 3" I ordered, very good price even with the shipping down here.

A:I bought a universal 2.5" cxracing kit form ebay. Came with all the couplers and clamps. Worked perfect.

Q:Also cheap couplers? like i mean CHEAP couplers, probably ebay or something?
A:eBay would work. Just google "silicone couplers" or something. Lots of results come up. I looked at a good bit of things at this site HERE

Q:should the BOV be further away from the MAF sensor? like 12 inches or something? because mine is connected to a pipe right infront of the MAF
A:I would try and get it as close as possible to the intercooler. Sounds like it may be too close to the MAF sensor.
Added my answers in bold.

Thicker pipe doesn't mean it is better. If it thicker it probably means the material itself is weaker therefore needing more of it to accomplish the same strength. Just fyi.

You can get piping from said site but it will need to be cut/fabbed/welded to make it work, or use a lot of couplers but you will still have to do some cutting.

Bov is too close to the Maf, try puzzling it the other way around, maf needs at least 6" straight and try installing it without the stock adapter, less to do in the future.
