Does no one turbo the D20?

I cant find more than a couple dynos, its all D23 and SVT. You would figure the 20 would be more popular to turbo than it seems to be since it makes the least amount of power NA. I know its good for around 220whp with the stage 2, was just hoping to see some more numbers or hear from others who have done it already.

I will be going with the FSWerks stage 2 and just wanted to see how many were running on a stock clutch and no LSD. I hear if you keep the boost down around 8-9psi and you arent drag racing it, the stock clutch can handle it. Wouldnt mind hearing from those with aftermarket clutches and LSD as well on what they are running.

My stock clutch slipped at 9.5psi, but I run a smaller turbo so make more torque for a given PSI vs the FSWerks kit.
Now I have an Exedy stage 2 clutch.
I've run a best of 13.63 @ 102.64 with my setup, but it is nowhere close to an FSWerks kit in design.
SMITHBOY76908 is the guy who just ran a 12.94 with his D20 and FSWerks kit at 11psi and slicks:
Stock Motor 2.0L Duratec in the 12s!!!

Also we both run open diffs. That's all you need for a straight line.

Thanks. I have talked to Smithboy and hes gutted so thats a nice advantage. I am not looking for a track car or some crazy times, just wanted to see how the stock motor and clutch handled the boost and if an LSD really made that much difference for street use.

I didn't use my stock clutch with the stage 2 kit, had the LSD and stage 2 clutch installed at the same time. You won't really notice the LSD with normal DD unless you are driving like a mad man to work lol. You'll notice it when you put the chassis to work for you. It also takes more effort to start to spin the wheels now, as compared to when my car was N/A with CAI, exhaust, header, and a tune (unless I smash the pedal, then it's wheel spin until I get to 4th gear).

Save for the upgraded clutch at the same time. Don't worry about the diff unless you autocross.
If you don't actually race it the Exedy stage 1 should be more than enough for aggressive street use.
That's my $.02.

I have a 2008 D20 stage 2 running at 10.5 PSI with a stock clutch and no LSD. I do spirited daily driving and have participated in two lapping days. I have only noticed clutch slipping on two occasions. I have over 14k miles on this setup and plan to wait until the clutch is a problem to change it and install a LSD. I am still on my stock clutch at 51k miles. The car is great. it is a little touchy to apply power out of a turn without the LSD but a little throttle control is all you need. In my opinion it is far more important to make sure you have tires, brakes and suspension to handle the additional power.
