BOV and the Frim

Does anyone have a frim with a open to atmosphere IAC, with a properly working bov?

I have a tial bov, along with my idle coming from atmosphere. I can't seem to get the bov to work. I'm thinking its because the iac is open to atmosphere, but I'm not 100% sure. Possibly to stiff of spring too.

Not sure what you mean the IAC is to atmosphere ? But reguardless how you have it idling the BOV is totally independent and wouldnt be a factor in how the BOV works

I have the iac vented to atmosphere on the top side of the frim. I have closed loop idle running. Meaning with the throttle plate closed it is functional, with partial or full throttle it closes. I'll probably run the intake for iac to the icpiping later on to reduce boost leaks/increase spool time.

If I did my math right, I have 17in/hg of vac....whatever 60kpa to in/hg is what I have for vac. I believe my spring is pink tial 20-21 in/hg , I'll have to double check what I ordered.

there would be a very easy way to check it. unplug the iac and cap the vent off. idle using the screw on the tb. then see if your bov work... but im with tom on this one i dont see the iac affecting the bov in any way, doesnt make any since to me. as long as your car is still creating vacuum when the throttle slams shut that should be enough, 17 should be enough.

Heres my log from last night, mind you this is playing with it for around an hour. Most of that was figuring out which way the IAC needs to move to control idle. We did learn that IAC can make RPM's jump past 5k easily
