Need help. SVT with a JRSC throwing codes p0133 p0135,p0141.

I just checked my fuses and #18 is blown. I replaced it with a 10amp and my Engine Management fuse blew. So i took out #18 and EM fuse is fine... ran my codes....p0133,p0135,p0141.

I ran the OBD with no #18 fuse.

I didnt see the codes before because my CEL is on from a p1518. Intake runner Fault. I have a JRSC so it doesnt matter.

Car runs like crap, after 2500rpm it surges and turns off.

I did do some research and i found out that my first sensor is bad. Weird cause it was just replaced like 7 months ago. I looked at the sensor under the car and the wiring is fine but it looked like it had a dent on on side...maybe causing it to malfunction. My thought is maybe it hit the engine block from engine movement? I do not have the stiffer dog bone mount.

Not sure what to do...don't want to blow any more $4 20amp fuses. Any suggestions would appreciated.

After doing some tests and pulling the o2 sensor my conclusion is this.

1. Sensor was in fact dented which cause everything to go ape .

2. My fuses did not blow out after i unplugged the sensor.

3. Whoever designed the spot for this o2 sensor is a moron.

Just replaced the o2 sensor and my fuse EMF is still blowing! WHats next to try? Is there a warranty on emisions stuff?

Im going to move this to the F/I area. I think some of the guys who post there often can help you out.

Have you looked up the meanings to the codes? If not here they are.

Quote:
P0133 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Slow Response (HO2S-11) The HEGO Monitor checks the HO2S Sensor frequency and amplitude. If during testing the frequency and amplitude were to fall below a calibrated limit, the test will fail. Contaminated HO2S sensor.
Exhaust leaks.
Shorted /open wiring.
Improper fueling.
MAF sensor.
Deteriorating HO2S sensor.
Inlet air leaks.
Access HO2S test results from the Generic OBD-II menu to verify DTC.

P0135 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Malfunction (HO2S-11) During testing the HO2S Heaters are checked for opens/shorts and excessive current draw. The test fails when current draw exceeds a calibrated limit and/or an open or short is detected. Short to VPWR in harness or HO2S.
Water in harness connector.
Open VPWR circuit.
Open GND circuit.
Low battery voltage.
Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
Damaged HO2S heater.
Damaged PCM.
Wiring.
Damaged HO2S heater.
Damaged PCM.

P0141 - HO2S Sensor Circuit Malfunction (HO2S-125) See DTC P0135

I'm not an expret, but if you say the sensor is dented then by reading the above it very well may be your issue.

I have looked up the codes. Im just not sure cause my #18 is blown and when i replace it...it blows the EMF. and yes it is dented....but not too sure if that would cause the short.

Hmm...sounds like some wires somewhere are damaged and shorting out. The problem is finding those wires. I would start tracing the O2 sensor wire looms. Just start going over all your wires with a fine tooth comb.

I would unhook the o2 and try the fuses again , if the fuel does not blow then change the o2 , if the fuse blows then you need to check wiring

Yes a dented o2 can short out , they pull a lot of amps because they have a heater in the o2

I'll post a pic of the dented o2. its weird how it happened. I read that it moves and gets damaged and that it doesn't.

I've dented 2 or 3 O2 sensors from engine movement. After I got the Massive Speed System "Unbreakable" lower torque mount, hasn't happened.
