I Doubt you would have hit 400. You were using a small journal bearing turbo, they are usually not good for more than about 20psi of boost. You said you were at 24psi I highly doubt it would have continued to make more power with more boost, most likely you would have gained more torque but the boost would not hold in the upper rpms.

If you want more than 400whp get a GT3076r and have good spool with power and boost to spare, it is good for over 30psi. Mathematically it is the perfect turbo for the Zetec and many people are having great success with it making sick power as much as 500whp.

I got the Comp Turbo from Tom. was trying to get specs, but he didn't have that info available at the time (I think I asked him when he started his road trip).

Called Justin at Comp Turbo (the guy that makes the custom turbos, and he was able to get me all of the info I needed.

compressor -52lb/min
•inducer - 55mm
•exducer - 72mm
turbine -
•inducer (major) -73 /2.9
•exducer - 58/2.3

it's part of the ct-2 family, but power wise, almost identical to the ct3-5556 (said it's good to about 440-465)

http://www.compturbo.com/products/products.php

now idno if this turbo is different from Tom's DIY turbo. When I was ready to order, he asked me what kind of power I wanted to make, and what I was using it for. Told him I wanted at least 300-320 and I would be road racing w/it, so something w/a large powerband and quick spool.

I wasn't going to build my motor at the time, but I did a compression check on it and one cylinder was low, so I'm in the proccess of building it now. Was gonna shoot for more power, so I asked Justin what I can do if it doesn't work out. he said send it back to him, and they'll rebuild it. Bigger. :)

He's a cool a$$ dude. Easy to talk to and very knowledgeable.

yea. heard that somewhere else too. He was a nice guy to talk to nonetheless. we'll see what happens. I won't be doing a return line, so whatever the 60# injectors, 03-04svt pump and b-a-p will get me is all I'm looking for. I know my motor will handle it no problem. I wouldn't want any more than 280-320 for the road track tho. I think the car will be a handful even w/that much. And I don't wanna be breaking loose coming out of the corners. Of course fartin around on the street w/my buddies and at the drag strip, I'll have it on full tilt. haha

I just don't want to get power hungry (which I'm sure will happen anyways) and build a 'freeway racer'. ya know? Everything I'm doing to this car is to make it a better road racer, and I don't wanna stray away from that....well, not too much anyways. haha

Anything over 300hp (double what I'm at now) I'm sure will be a blast.

and if this doesn't work out, it should be easy enough to swap it out for another t3/t4 turbo.

I was thinking something in the precision 55 series or a a gt2871 or 3076 with a smaller back half. .48 a/r. not sure if I'd have any surge issues w/that tho.
