Tight Budget, But wanting to boost my car. Any Suggestions?

As the title explains, i am on a tight budget, as i am a college student. I have a 2006 Focus ST, and Im looking to modify it without breaking my bank. I have a K&N Cold air intake, and X2 Chip. Anymore budget-worthy ideas to boost some HP?

If your budget is that tight, Go with Nitrous. That's Hp under 1000.00 Since you have an X2, get a tune for the NOS. The Saleen focus came came with a 75 wet shot and got great numbers.

The only way you'd get away with not breaking the bank is by not crashing your car into it. Unless you can source quality parts in good shape for cheap, expect to spend over 3k for turbo kits. If you go cheap you run the risk of headaches and expensive repair bills.

IMO nitrous is very good when it works properly, but its very dangerous and if there is ever a mechanical failure (doesn't have to be your fault, something could just malfunction) your car could be toast.

TB might make your car too touchy and you might not like it/have to learn to drive all over again. its an amazing mod for an automatic but for a 5spd not so much, least in my opinion.

if you wanna save some coin, you can just cut-down your stock shifter till you can afford a STS (good idea though, you should get one) and see about getting an exhaust system, it'll really wake up that 2.3

I also hear the CFM dog bone mount is a really nice mod for a 5spd.
