Return Line Questions

So I'm building my motor currently on my svt, and will be boosting it. I've been doing some reading and it looks like the most people are pushing are high 300's w/out a return line. At first, I didn't want to do a return line, but at this point, I might as well. I'd like to see what this turbo will max out at. And the only thing limiting me at this point will be fuel. So I have a few questions about this.

•People that are pushing 400+, are they using the 03-04 fuel pump, b-a-p, and return line? or are they using a walbro pump instead?
•would 60# injectors be good for 400-450?
•how are people tapping into the fuel rails? would something like this http://focus.c-f-m.com/cfmfuelfeedli...4svtfocus.aspx work?
•people that have return lines, would you mind posting pics? I'm trying to do this as stealthy as possible, so I'd like to see possible mounting points for the fpr to keep it out of sight as much as possible.

a local gearhead friend of mine (who's done many returnlines), said I'd need

Quote:
1 -6an bulkhead w/ teflon washer&nut for the fuel canister.
1 -6 barb for 1 side of the bulkhead to go to the pump.
1 -6 barb for the other side of the bulkhead thatll lead the fuel line to your regulator.

2-3 o-ring'd -6 barbs for your regulator

w/e fitting size u will need to adapt to your stock rail or aftermarket rail.

1 -6 bulkhead w/ teflon washer/nut + 1 -6 barb for the "return" of the returnline at the fuel canister.

prices will vary because i dont know where your fuel canister sits, where your fuel rail sits, where your regulator will sit...etc etc... a 90* -6 barb costs alot more than a straight barb fitting and can vary the price a decent amount.

returnline will be in the $250-300 range. just how everything sits, and how many 90's you need will vary the price.

http://www.jegs.com/c/Fuel-Carbs-Intake ... 9/10002/-1
+use jegs push-loc line for your hose.

-6barb = 5.00
-6 90* = 11.00
-6 bulkhead = 10.00 x2
-6 oring regulator fittings = ~12. will need 2.
can anyone comment on the stuff he didn't know about?

any help/tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'm doing it right now, using BAP and SVT pump, heard the Walbro's don't work well in the stock tank, going to run -8AN from tank to pump. -8AN line from pump to Steeda rail. -6AN from rail to regulator and from regulator to tank, going to try to use the stock line as return and yes with 60 injectors.

So far basically everyone over 400 either has dual walbro 255, or a fuel cell

This would be a hugh mistake to do with the stock cannister , If your going to do this the only way to do it right is a fuel cell unless your a drag car only anything else will cost you an engine, You can put holes in the cannister so it fills faster then when the G`s come into play the fuel goes away from the cannister , You can do like Jim is doing but then you stuck going straight line only under boost

I have tested this about everyway and a fuel cell is the ONLY reliable way to do this and be a DD , You can cut corners but in the end your engine will pay for it

Will the SVT pump work? Or should I run walbro's in the cell? Can the stock tank be modified instead of a cell?

Your very limited as to what can be done to the stock plastic tank , a fuel cell is your best and safest bet and there is a ton of options about fuel cells

There is even a Co that will make a custom cell to fit where the stock cell is but there costly

Does anyone have pics of their returnlines? I'd like to see where the fpr is mounted.

And how do you tap into the fuel rail? Or is there an adapter?
