Has anyone boosted an automatic 2.0 Duratec?

I got an 08 Focus. Unfortunately it is an ATX. Is there any hope for me or should I give it up. I got a gut feeling but I am hoping someone was crazy enough to try and had any success

Im not alone !!!! Yes it is possible Im doing it next year. Tune it good and it will be fun to drive. It will not as fast as manual (i think) but still better then 139hp factory ;)

^ accually a atx will be faster then a manual. 250hp in a manual vs 250hp in a atx. The atx will win cus it doesn't lose boost during shifts. Unlike a manual does

Not entirely true. Gearing plays a huge role. You guys have 4-speed automatics...your power band will be worse. There's a reason a 180whp Civic Si can pull much harder than you would think. For instance, when an SVT is at red line in 2nd, an Si is nearing the top of 3rd. A Focus auto vs. an MTX-75 would be about the same.

True... but at the same time atx are all electric shifting.. which by far is faster then any person. But dont get me wrong a manual is much more fun. and beleave me if i could swap my atx out for a MTX-75 i would be rite on it.

An ATX when built right will be faster then an MTX all day long. There is no question about it. It will cost you more money of course but it will be faster. You can boost a stock ATX as well, just make sure your tuner increases the line pressure for you and you will be fine.
