boost/power limits on stock zetec 2.0 engine

im running 6-7psi daily right now making 162whp and 192wtq
my car is completely stock besides a turbo kit and 2.5"down pipe/flex and 2.25 cat back with no cat. Also 42lb injectors
Im wondering on the boost limits and power limits on a stock zetec 2.0 engine
im pretty sure its like 250whp and 12psi roughly.

Im looking to get cam gears because i did not like how i have way more torque then hp. can that be tuned differently or do i have to just get cam gears to change that?
What are reasonable numbers to go for?
I am getting OBX cam gears with 10+/- timing and heard some good things about them

can i get like 230whp and 200wtq with about 10psi and obx gears in comparison to what i got at about 6-7psi. I would even go 11 or 12 psi as long as my car seems to handle it ok.

another thing is how long with the stock LSD hold up and what hp does that start to begin to break or wear down at.

Feel free to give me any input,

Thanks.

I was thinking it was around 14-15 psi on stock motor without blowing it up, but it all depends on what type of boost it is.

Im using a borg warner T3/T4 and im using an OBX log manifold if that makes a difference, the turbo had .63 A/R on the hotside.
didnt say anything on the compressor side, but i believe the turbo is like a T04E off the top of my head.

Heres a link of what i belive the specs are of the current turbo on my car

1) psi means nothing it is all about the power 240hp/tq is as high as u want
2) tq is what really matters it will get u to speed faster hp is high end
3) cam gears are nice, just get them dyno tuned in
4)the focus does not have LSD we have open DIff

will i run into any other problems, at like 240hp/tq. like with the open diff and such
im planning on getting them tuned and uping the boost from what it is now, so i should look for even tq/hp or is it better over all to have one higher then the other?
another thing is that i made the power at like 4000rpms and then it dropped right after rather quick and lost most of the power at about 5000rpms
would the cam gears allow me to stetch out the power band a little more so i still make power till 5500-5800rpms

Thanks.

It's only safe if the tune is safe to run that much boost. You do have tune for the turbo right?

Cam gears can help but they MUST be dyno tuned.

Don't worry about having more hp or tq than the other. That all depends on many factors.

more tq ftw anyway

it depends heavily on the tune too, I'd say....

ARE YOU SERIOUS ??? You want to give up TQ to gains HP , why? Its TQ that you feel , Its TQ that gets the car up to speed

There is an old saying TQ gets you down the track HP gets you to the track

With your TQ being as high as it is vs your HP tells me you have a smll turbo and isnt going to go a lot higher in HP

Cam gears will not adjust TQ out and HP in , Again a datalog to see what happening may show why its falling off so hard in the top or like stated you could just be undersized on the turbo

Tom

Tom
I have a .50 trim ebay turbo as a back up and the borg warner in my car is deff larger. I get a small turbo lag and dont build full boost till like 3800 rpms so the turbo isnt that small in my opinion
its most likely identical to the turbo in the link i posted
will i see gains overall with adjustable cam gears?

my car does pull when i hit full boost, and pulls just as hard up hill.
im guessing tq get the power to the ground and hp gets your tires spinning

when can you help me with datalogging
i beleive you said you can control my laptop through your pc?
