Reasons for heavy smoking (oil)

I have yet to check the compression cuz im waiting for my buddy to return my tester. but
my car is smoking HEAVY while cruising and really really bad while decel.
I have a built motor, comp turbo. currently going thru the tuning process with tom.
the car idled fine with no smoke MANY times. i drove the car around the nieghbor hood with no smoke.
today tom wanted me to do a 5min cruise and by the time i got to the end of the street my car was frieght train status. it smokes the WHOLE time.

I came home and check the plugs they looked fine. but, number 4 spark plug tube had alot of oil in it from a leaky VC. i clean it up and drove it. it smoked heavy at first then went away, drove for 5 min with nothing then let it idle for 1min (as per tom) at idle the smoke started coming back then on the drive home it was smoking just as bad as it was maybe worse.

So i havnt been able to do a comp test yet but i wanted to other things to think about. What would cause constant smoking? if i blip the gas at idle it will stop VERY briefly then smoke again.

cross your fingers it's oil seals in the turbo. I had this problem because my oil line was to big and I was getting to much volume of oil to my turbo causing it to leak around the seals and it was burning.

In my case a smaller line fixed my problem.

aren't the comp turbos supposed to run a restrictor in the oil supply line?

iv been thinking it might be the oil.

I bought the motor off MLB used. when i got it the head was messed up so i got a new head and the car was fine.
when the head was messed up it was flooding 1 and 2 with coolant. yes i changed my oil but could there be more water in there thinning the oil causing it to burn? it currently has motorcraft 5w20 in it. the plan was to run it for a few miles then change it and put my Amsoil in. but should i run a thicker oil?

You just need a compression test... that will rule out a lot. until then it's hard to say.

Have you checked your oil to see what it looks/smells like?

you need to get that compression tester. it could be valve stem seals, rings, head gasket, prob with pcv, etc.

pull a charge pipe off and see if there is oil in it.
