if you're going to do any engine/exhaust mods, I figure bigger tubing, but installing a resonator and a factory quiet muffler (or in other words, an OE replacement, but one with bigger input/output piping.) that would still help in terms of power I'm sure.

that's all I'll say right now, but to FF :)

Yeah, this doesn't belong in Forced Induction if you don't want a supercharger or turbo. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you're not going to be able to pull much power out of a 1.8L without one of those...

you will just get enough passing power, no more, and its a lot cheaper to go boost!

So turbo charger is the way forward do I have to uprate anything or can I send it into a certain workshop that will do the lot?? As i would put a turbo on if I would get a lot of extra power and wouldn't cause further problems after a few months??

you need a tune to run a turbo. a shop can install it and tune it for you. not cheap, but they can do it!
