Nitrous injecton for my foci, what do?

since i've ever owned my focus, i have believed that nitrous injection were for those who want to make quick, easy power only when needed, like getting viagra for your car. great amount of power in the beginning but only for a limited amount of time, plus you'll have to re-fill the bottle when you've used it all. but to have REAL bragging right, one must force induct. now recently i've fell into that crowd of spraying, so now im looking into doing the same for my focus, but not now. ima workon getting a new intake, possibly a tb, headers and a full exhaust system before i will spray my car. i also looked at getting a Zex wet system for my focus as well, so i just hear some thoughts and opinions on what i should do to safely run this on my car and as well enjoy a good driving experience or what do i need to do prior to this setup.

*btw its an auto, dunno if that would help some and i was thinking about getting it tuned as well.

Chucky what in the world are you thinking? Ditch that cat and factory mess, get intake (no need for the tb just port what you got), and most important a tune. Did I say get a tune? Get a tune. After that I think you would be happier.

Also if you beat me I will have to step my game up so much lol j/k which might be a good thing.

tune tune tune tune tune TUNE TUNE!!!!

please for the love of all things cute and fuzzy dont spray without a tune. that is the #1 safety right there.
get a wet system. dry shots are stupid and are more prone to cause motor pop. you can go with a big shot on a wet kit and you dont need to upgrade your injectors to do it and if an injector fails with a wet kit you still might have enough fuel going in to keep you from popping something.
WOT switch and RPM window switch are a must have. the whole fast and the furious push button on the steering wheel is dumb. hit it at 1500 rpms one time on accident and let me know how that works out for ya.
a very very nice safety to have is a A/F shutdown switch that shuts down the system if your A/F ratio gets too lean. which is great because if you are eyeballing the A/F gauge to make sure you arent leaning out while spraying you are liable to hit something.
bottle heaters are nice but not necessary. if you dont get one with the kit then just carry a blow torch with you in your car and heat the bottle up before you make a run. dont worry, nitrous is NOT flammable. thats just another stupid myth that got started by fast and the furious. dont believe me? ill take a picture of my bottle later to show where it clearly says NOT FLAMMABLE. just dont heat the bottle so much that you weaken the metal or overpressureize the tank. that will cause a real big boom lol.
if you are planning on using it to street race (bad idea) then a remote bottle opener is always nice. some kid in a firebird pulls up next to you at the light and you know you can take him but CRAP! the bottle isnt open. pop the trunk run around back, turn the bottle on, hop back in the front, CRAP! forgot to close the trunk, get back in, buckle up, purge, and CRAP AGAIN! the light has been green for 3 minutes and the firebird is long gone.
lots of people have had success running a 100 shot on a stock motor but i personally wont be going higher than a 75. do what you will. a tune will also make your auto hold together better by upping the fluid psi for firmer shifts.
go one size larger on the fuel jet than what is called for. it wont kill you to run a little bit rich on the spray.

they have been more successfull running a 100 shot on an svt, a zetec may be a bit more difficult w/ the rods, you'd need a progressive controller. now this is on a manual. on an auto, well, may not be the best. a 100 shot makes good torque, torque is what kills the auto tranny. so spray even a 100 shot on a stock auto may be too much torque for the auto, even recalibrated. so if you make good power w/ just boltons and a 100 shot it will be too much for an auto. maybe a nice 60 shot or so.

^^very informative! i have been lookin at a couple of things before i do this system, im not doin it for street racing (havent done that ina loooooonnnggg while) and yeh just doing the tune with minor bolt-ons will give my car the speed and acceleration ive been craving for, but it can only take me so far. plus i think it will be fun. so things im lookin at in doing so far:

zex wet system
remote bottle opener
electronic pressure gauge
(possibly) a bottle warmer
tune
full exhaust (headers, high flo cat or orp and some flex pipe)
new intake
a/f wideband gauge

the way i wanna use my nitrous system is by open throttle, so it'll spray whenever i floor it and i have the bottle open. not doing that fast & furious shit, the first movie was good but misquoted on a LOT of things, especially about nitrous injection. also im not lookin into adding a lot of crazy stuff to the system im getting cuz im not gonna be using all the time, nor that competitively. just enough to have fun with and blow the doors off some "wanna be fast, JDM" posers anywhere i go. i also chose this this nitrous route is because i kno most of us want some form of boost in our cars, but how long will that take for me to do that to my car before ill end up getting rid of it for my next victim (350z)? we all love to dream but we also must face the music, im tryin to finish up college, and i dont have the type of job (or a job at that) that can support me in doing a turbo build for my car. i was left with the short end of the stick by getting some atx focus, given if had an mtx instead, i wouldnt be debating about what to get for my nitrous build cuz i would already be talkin about my turbo build instead

i wasnt even thinkin about doing even over 75 shot, cuz i dont wanna push my motor to that type of extreme, especially on an auto. so im good runnin on a 75 shot (more or less)
