I want to test my B.C. solenoid...?

I know some here have seen a previous thread of mine about me loosing boost.

I have came to the conclusion that its my BC(with the help of tom). Im window shopping for another BC BUT...I would be happier if I could possibly fix what I have.

So I want to test my solenoid... Ive read up alot on the net and found its a far to common problem for solenoids to go bad. So id like to "test" mine lol Im thinking like taking it out with the harness and putting some voltage to it and seeing what happens...Ive read when they are working correctly they will make a "clicking" sound. By the way my BC is the profec B spec II...

its not a popular choice I know but it what I have. Ive found replacement solenoids. Id rather spend 100 bucks then 300 on a new EBC if I dont have to.

thanks for any help fellas.

OH and btw... reason why I may think its the solenoid is because I placed it kinda close to my engine...actually mounted it on the left side of my battery box. So im thinking engine heat might have killed it.
