Acceptable Air/fuel ratios?

This topic has probably been beat up pretty bad already but I didn't see anything scanning through.

Here is my numbers also it was dyno'd today and they said ideal. However there are questions on how reliable this shops opinions are.

I just took a quick cruise around and noted what I am seeing on my AEM AFR

Warm engine idle = 14.9 - 15.5

Cruising = 14 (i didn't pay as much attention to this, and any throttle variation seems to make it go all over the place)

WOT full boost (6psi) = 11.2 - 11.8

Are these safe #s?

I agree with John 11.2 with 6psi will get you buy it is the leanest I would run 11.8 is to lean , My opinion is you should be in the 10.8 range

6psi isnt much boost and you are not running it at WOT a lot so you will get by with 11.2 up the boost and you need to bring it into the 10`s

If you remember there for quite awhile I kept mine at 11.8 and it did fine even at 20psi.... but the trade off was having to keep an eye on EGT's and running less timing. Then about the same time we both started going richer on the tunes and I have to admit I like being pig rich alot better.

sure 13`s will make even more power but like 12`s you will loose an engine , agree leaner is meaner allways , to a point allways make more power with a leaner engine and also build more engines doing it

You shouldnt be giving advise about thing you dont know about and I dont have a possee and dont need one

Your A/F ratio's look almost identical to mine. Only difference is I don't have boost and run WOT at a 12.2-ish. When I first hooked up my wide band I almost freaked out cause I was getting the same numbers as you. Later I found out it's just the computer (ECU) running where it wants to be at. The time you worry about A/F numbers is during WOT run's. It's going to move around a little because the computer is running off of the O2 sensor and is adjusting the air to fuel to where it wants to be. Nothing to worry about unless your hearing noises like knocking or pinging.

Now if I'm wrong in any of this please correct me. I'll be ok with it
