New here, new to focus! ANY help greatly appreciated

I have had my share of escorts/zx2s and even 2 crown vics and an escape. But NO focus, until now.

I had been searching for a turbo car that is decent that i can afford for a month now. Many I can afford but are crap, many that are decent that I don't come close to affording. Finally found this. Heres a basic list of what has been done to it. I have a few questions on specifics. Really hoping someone that knows can take the time to help me out. I would greatly appreciate it!!

2001 zx3
51,000 miles on body
12,000 on motor/trans/LSD and the rest of the build

Focus power full turbo kit with front mount and 50lb injectors
engine fully balanced
crower rods
forged pistons 9:1 compression
stronger main bearing caps
qualife LSD
focus sport lightened fly wheel
stage 6 clutch
greddy blow off valve (???)
65mm throttle body
h&r cup kit suspension
brembo front rotors (slotted)
hawk hpt pads
2.5" exhaust borla muffler
sparco seat
momo stearing wheel
sct pro race tuning program
new PCM from all ford
sabelt 5 point belts
rear roll cage done by race tech fab
AEM air/fuel gauge
oil pressure gauge
boost gauge

One thing i am concerned about is for example. you are driving steady in a gear, lets say 2nd at 3.5k rpms. if you push in the clutch and let the RPMs fall it will die. i have been told this is a normal quirk with turbo fords. you have the let the RPMs fall in gear before pushing the clutch in. until its under 3k then you can hold in the clutch or go into neutral.
Another weird thing to me. i filled the tank today. drove 30 miles and i am just barely over 3/4ths tank!! but... thankfully after i refilled to see how much gas i actually burned it only took 1.7 gallons. but wtf? why is the gas gauge reading so low, i believes its a 13.2 gallon tank. is that a normal thing with focuses? I suppose it could have something to do with the new fuel pump in tank. ?? or, idk.
On my AFR gauge when i hit the gas, not full throttle, just going, it seems to always go up ALL the way. sometimes even to a readout of ---- is this normal? the exhaust also smells funny. burning way too rich? or is it supposed to be this way. This was tuned by a reputable shop at a very conservative 6psi. I am told the car is built for up to 400hp. The story behind why its not is also legit. don't care to type it all out, not a concern of mine.

edit... also the idle is about 1.2k rpms, is this normal? It actually still has AC in it. When turned on it shoots the idle to about 1.8-1.9k rpm. is this normal?

Anyways, please any response from someone who knows this stuff is hugely appreciated! if you need any more info please ask! here are photobucket links to pics of it

First of all the person who built the car is likely on this site seeing as the guy who owns Focus Power is on here and pretty much does most of his business on here (I would think.) His name is Tom and on here he goes by 1turbofocus.

A few things I would keep in mind are that the Turbo has been on there for 20k miles so it's likely taken a good amount of hard driving. But like any other car if the owner has taken good care of it it's likely still in good condition. I don't really know about the dying under 3k RPMs when pushing in the clutch. That and the idle could likely be fixed by Tom seeing as he does tuning. I'd almost guarantee he tuned that car so he might still have a file on it somewhere.

EDIT: Failure to read carefully on my part. Tom did not tune it. If you buy it I'd highly recommend he re-tunes it for you seeing as his Turbo set up is on there.

And a last note....holy nuts to the stage 6 clutch!?

Where did you get the 20k miles from? It was said it has 12k on the build.

It doesnt die under 3k RPMs. It dies if you let the RPMs fall when you are in gear at OVER 3k RPMs. Like i said, driving steady in 2nd at 3.5k RPMs and just push in and hold the clutch. The RPMs will fall and it will die. Same scenerio but say rpms at 2.8k. Push in and hold the clutch in it will not die.

The car was tuned at PSI (portland speed industries) here in portland OR.

I took it into PSI today. Had them run a dyno and check the AFR etc. They said everything is fine. They spent a long time in the past trying to fix the issue with it dying when the rpms drop from over 3k and with the current setup there isnt a way to.

everything on the car checked out though. they said its running just how it should.

I dont agree at all , It can be cured with tuning , I would need to see some logs and a dyno of what it just did would be good to , I have built doxens of there cars and they dont stall if tuned right

Let me know if I can help , my IM is hpdyno on AOL
