High hp friend needs some help

I got a buddy w/a srt-4 who's got a 62mm turbo. He's had the hallman mbc, avcr, and n2mb(never too much boost - company name) ebc. his n2mb ebc is cool in the fact that it is super easy to set the desired psi in each gear, or per rpm. the only problem is that it won't let him go above ~32-33psi like a mbc would. he's rockin a 18lb spring in his wg right now, but wants to drop it down to a 15psi spring because of how bad he spins in 1st. He wants a boost controller that will allow him to go up to 40psi, but run 12 in first if possible for when he takes it to the track. And before anyone tells him to use slicks, he is. 26" slicks aired down to 11psi hot and they still spin. He also tried the same psi in a hoosier bias-ply dr. also a 26" iirc.

so anyone got any ideas?

traction bars will just keep him planted (which he already is). he's on coilovers and solid mounts all the way around

thats not a boost by gear/rpm option tho is it? and by remote switch, you mean 'high boost button'? he wants something that he just punches and it goes. like his setup now. it'd be perfect except the ebc wont go higher boost.

Remote switch lets you change back and forth between hi and low boost at will.... low in first, push the button when you want high boost.... simple and effective.

I already see something wrong with what he wants, though.

You can't run 12psi in 1st gear if you have a 15psi wastegate spring. Additionally, Tom said it's never a good idea to go more than double the psi of a wastegate spring. So if he wants to run 12psi in 1st gear and then ramp up to 40psi in 3rd gear...that's more than triple the spring rating. It would be hard for the wastegate to control the boost. Not saying it's out of the question, but it's less than ideal.
