Spa manifold &turbo clearence?

Hey whats up, I just got off the phone with the guys from CFM . I was told that with the SPA manifold that the crankcase oil separator will have to be removed. They are working on a ccos delete but it wont be ready for a while. What has every one been doing about this problem now? Tom maybe you could chime in as , your kit uses the SPA manifold, right ? Seems it's a clearence prob with the turbo. I've got a SPA 5250.

Actually with the spa 5250 or most any t3 with a 4 bolt discharge flange you can make it fit with the factory oil separator.

Just need a few gentle hammer blows. It will need only about 1/4 inch in to fit.

SPA makes a relocate plate/tube assembly if you don't want to do this but It is better to keep the factory separator.

I've put together about 8-9 turbo zetecs with the spa stuff and their down pipe fits without issue with the a/c and fans ect.

Where about in illinois are you???

Man, this is sounding better and better all the time.. I am south in Edwardsville, Il. Close to STL. Did you happen to see the ccos delete , that CFM is making. Looks like it will clean up that part of the block. They say it has a built in baffle. But could still be run to a catch can.

Yeah I know ,Tom. But so far I got the Spa manifold (ceramic coated)a new 5250 turbo with a new SPA waste gate, an fmic with most of the charge piping for $ 800 bucks. So with the SPA down pipe for 400 , I have almost every thing for 1200. I already have a bov from the PC KIT.
I need some injectors and what else?
Its hard to pass up!!

Understand , But when the turbo takes a crap or the waste gate kills the engine , then what did the kit cost you ?

Hahahaha. You're in for a few surprises.

- The rest of your piping
- Exhaust
- New MAF (or MAFia)
- Injectors
- Tuning Device plus Tune
- BOV
- Wideband
- Any other gauges you plan on running
- And all the little things line van lines, oil lines and a few other things.

That's just what I could think of. I'm sure I'm missing a few things.

EDIT: Sorry if I came off like a douche bag there. I'm just letting you know from somebody who is in the middle of doing a build, the prices add up quickly. I guarantee you will spend more money than you think you're going to in the beginning.
