can u use????

ok so my turbo went out AGAIN.... and i have to sent it across the country to get the warrranty work done on it.. well this whole time its gone im out my car.. i have a buddy who has a spare turbo sitting around his house.. could i put that in the place of mine at least until mine comes back so i can drive my car? btw my car is tuned for 25psi and i think his is a small turbo.. gotta find out the specs.. but i need my car.. and its a free suggestion.. is this ok?

Don't see why not....it ain't gonna make 400whp so how's it gonna hurt your motor? If it bolts right on, that sounds like a great solution.

i believe his is a t3/t4 and that is what mine is not sure what trim it is or are housing.. but mine was pretty big i think his is smaller.. my concern is with a smaller turbo it spools faster... is this going to effect my motor and car due to mine being tuned with the bigger turbo?

That's probably a question to ask Tom. I really don't see how a smaller turbo is going to toast your motor, especially if you don't go racing around. I would just granny-drive it until you get the other turbo back.

well come to find out its a t25/t28.. so it prob wouldnt work... oh well .. guess its back to trying to get a peice of tubing made to take its place and plug everything up..

sure you can drive it with a diff turbo on there. will the tune be right for it.. no. just be easy on it.
