JRSC IAT relocation question

I was just wondering if anyone knew the thread size on the IAT sensor. I am going to be tapping the intake manifold on the underside and don't want to have the wrong size when I do it.

Ok, I found out today that the IAT sensor has a 17mm thread size on it. Now I just have to find a damn tap that big. Most of the shops and stores around me only carry up to 16mm. Damn it Ford!

I had mine threaded at a semi-truck shop. They seem to have bigger versions of everything. Didnt get charged either.

Just a thought if you are asking around shops.

It's a pipe thread size, 3/8 NPT if I remember correctly. It's not a size you can just buy a tap for from the Sears auto section, though.

If you got the Motorcraft IAT sensor like mine it was 17MM. I will check the part number later when I get my intake manifold back. All the shops that I went to didn't have any tap that size and the 17mm is a special order size. I will see if I can get that tap from the guy who ordered it for me. He's charging me for the tap anyways since he had to order it lol.

Motorcraft part number is DY-754 and the Ford part number is F6SZ-12A697-A for anyone that needs a future reference. And it definately requires a 17mm tap in order to put it in your intake manifold.
