How to install a centrifugal supercharger ? oil-cooler needed ?

Hello,

do you have any pics of an installed centrifugal supercharger, like rotrex, ati or procharger ?
i didnīt see any space to install it, without removing the a/c

the second question is:
i know that the rotrex supercharger needs an oil-cooler.
didnīt saw that by ati or prochargers ? did they hold the strain for a long time (like 100.000 miles) ?

thanks a lot

they usually include a mounting bracket that will put them low in fron (procharger) or high in back (fs works rotrex)
the procahrger actually has a separate oiling system from the engine. and that needs to be maintined wit hteh correct oil at teh proper intervals. and you'll see a lot of milage ona procahrger or rotrex before they fail aslogn as everything is kept in good mechanical shape. hope this helps

http://focus.c-f-m.com/images/view.aspx?productId=858

the mounting bracket is just to teh left of the procharger in that pic.
the procahrger on our cars has a totally separated sytem for oiling including a resivuior on the charger itself that must be checked regualrly and filled wit hteh proper oil in it. no need fora cooler attached to teh charger, as it doesnt have a hot side really. an oil cooler added to your engines oiling system could help. especailyl if your gonna be racing it a lot wit hthe procharger. (btw the kit pictured should be teh one for the svt/st170 check with teh guys at www.c-f-m.com for more details. ive had noting but good experiences with them.

You should change oil in Procharger every 10000km.
U can either buy expensive PC oil, or use 0W-30(40) full syntetic (I believe it has been discussed here few times, am I righ b16sir??) ;-)

exhaust manifold is lower on St170 then PC or intercooler. I don't know if you have ever been here in Slovakia, but roads are not nice at all ;-) I already destroyed one tire and bend SVT rim, scratched manifold few times, but SC and IC are untached and I have it for 3years. 1 in Slovakia
