My new intercooler endtanks im welding up (Pics)

Hey guys well in between trying to figure out whats wrong with Chris's turboed focus i decided to give my foci some loving.

My standard intercooler endtanks i felt were not very efficient so im making my own that i feel will be much more efficient and should help with spooling, even though it already spools too fast lol :)

Before

Cut it up :)

New endtanks

Yes its crooked its just hanging to check clearances

just a little bead

Its angled not crooked lol i made it that way

Ill post the finished pics tomorrow when i do all the final welds and have it all done.

Alright, that's what I've always heard. So in other words, he is a really good welder?

Question...how dangerous is it to cut out some of the bumper like you've done here? I might need to do that to fit stuff in there.

Not dangerous at all i still have all the meat of the inside of the crash bar like the middle section and yes ive actually already got in a wreck with it like that about 8 months ago and no damage :)

But yes aluminum is alot harder becuase it is such a soft metal

Tim you need to get a miller syncrowave 200 i love mine

yes he is a very good welder.

my bumper is cut a lot more than his... but i did brace mine back up. as much as he cut off i dont see it affecting any thing. that metal is super tough. next time you have your bumper off try to drill through it, lol

yeah as soon as i can afford a $2k welder i will get one. my welder cost $170.. hopefully soon i can get a real welder.
