low boost turbo on car with high mileage?

Thinking about MAYBE getting a turbo (or s/c) on my 01 ZX3.
Question: I have 110,000 miles on it (everything stock). Is this a bad idea?
I would run low boost since I want a reliable daily driver that would last. Just wonder if I should just forget about it.

Thx

damn 110 on an 01, i got 112 on my 05. if it were me, id do a rebuild, since its your daily driver id buy an engine, rebuild it slow on the side, then take a weekend to swap it in and iron out the bugs, and tadaaaa. but again thats just me

Don't do a lot of boost if your not going to rebuild it. Just my 2 cents.

IMO if compression is good, I don't see how it would be horrible to run high boost if you are tuned for it safely..

My buddie had over 150k on his when we put the turbo on it and ran 12psi for over a year without any issues at all until he sold it then the guy that bought was kinda rough on it...... and it didnt last too long after that.

i've got 110k on mine, but i know its in like perfect condition, so i wouldn't hesitate to add FI, so if you've taken care of it, and u know its good, then you shouldn't have a problem.

Did you end up putting the turbo on the car? I have a svt with 150,000 miles on it and I would like to turbo it but am hesitant about the strength of the engine.
