What exactly would i need for a turbo?

Hey guys. I recently got my focus svt like 5 months ago and i really want to drop in a turbo. I have never done this before so i would really like to know where i can get the best kits and what else would i need with that kit. What do i need if i dont get a kit? Is there a kit that gives me everything i need off the bat?.. Yeah im new at the turbo stuff here lol.

There are a bunch of different kits out there, from Tom's DIY Kit (just add the Turbo and a few other things) to the Precision Turbo Kit. It all depends on what your goals are and how much your willing to spend.

Just don't forget about a Tune for it, you can do a Remote Tune from TurboTom or you could do an actual Dyno Tune from a place like McNews over near Carlisle, PA.

Really? I've never heard that.

But for real the best thing you can do is spend some time in the FI section here. Just read for hours. You can't just drop in a turbo without any know how.

If you know that little and the cost ($5k+) doesn't sour your ambition, you need to be allowing a trusted focus tuner to basically turn-key this project for you. Either that, or I'd start REALLY reading up on the subject.

Exactly what he said. And don't listen to the people who say a certain kit is best. Figure it out on your own.
