JRSC'd SVT's & Lightweight Flywheel Any issues?

Background: My car has 130k on the odo and has been JRSC'd since 90k. I am still on the original clutch, which isn't too shabby since I never had the TSB done for the clutch rattle. But with 130k on her, I am facing the inevitable ... it will need to be replaced so I am trying to figure out what I want and start saving some coin.

Questions:So, I have read the numerous threads on clutch/flywheel combo's, etc. From what I have determined, I will most likely have to get a new flywheel along with the clutch because I am pre-TSB (?)

I have also read in a few threads that the lightweight flywheel can cause issues with cars that have blowers .... is that right? (ie: less rotational mass vs. extra parasitic drag = idle issues and such)


** I'd appreciate some input from some JRSC'd folks with lightweight flywheels in their SVT's.

I havent heard of SC having problems with lightweight flywheel at idle....

Yeah, I dunno .. but it was something I read in two or three posts. Wanted to see what owners had to say. Clutch and flywheel = a fair amount of money to throw down without getting all your info in line.

i have a spec and lightwieght flywheel other than the chatter i have no issues with the flywheel. i like the setup

I think it was just a problem
With tuning as no one else has had a
Problem.

Much like a torque converter puts stress on the motor while at idle. When people switch to the mtx they will have hanging revs due to the tune thinking there is still a torque converter putting stress on the motor.

So even
If you do have problems it should be able to be solved with a tune.

also remember that the supercharger is rotating mass too. so, a light fly might be beneficial. although i have no direct experience, im just theorycrafting

I had owned the JRSC with the spec 2 clutch and alumi. flywheel. I had no problems and I was also on the Ford Racing tune.
