Idle Issues...?

Hey alls...

Specs on the car....
Zetec block - SVT internals - Zetec comp. ratio
Ported stock head
comp stg 2 cams
ported 00' manifold
deka 60# injectors
3" maf housing
custom turbo setup
battery relocated to trunk - optima red top... 2/0 weld lead cable from battery to dist. block under hood... same for battery to chasis ground and ps bracket to chasis ground... alt. to dist block is also the same...

Here is the problem... first start after turbo build...

cold start... it will idle high for a few seconds then start to idle down... once it idles down... it will hover around 1k for a minute or so... then idle down more... around 800-850... then all of a sudden the a/f gauge will peg lean and the idle rpm starts to jump around... then the a/f goes crazy (jumps from 12.-- to 19.--) tap the throttle and it will calm down for a few seconds and then the same problem... almost feels like the car is misfiring but its not throwing any misfire codes...

then once its warm enough to kick the fans on... things go really crazy... as soon as the fans kick on... a/f mix goes haywire and the car will hardly stay running....

im wondering what mechanical issues can cause these problems...? when the fans kick on... the lights on the dash dim for a second and the car will damn near completely stall and "----" appears on the wideband... then the dash lights brighten back up and the a/f comes down a little... but not much and continues to bounce around from 15-17... could the be a grounding issue? vac. leak?

what sounds more plausible?

I was having idle issues before I started the turbo build like this... I had assumed they where being caused by the alternator (idle voltage was dropping under 12v...) Ive sinced replaced the alt. with a high-output version from c-f-m and idle voltage stays above 14...

short term fuel trims during this period bounce between .95 and 1.0-

I had the engine down to the shortblock durring the build... swapped on a different cyl. head which I ported... and am using a different throttle body that didnt come with a gasket... so I had to make one...

im somewhat at a loss because this is keeping me from dialing the tune in.. where should I start?

any help would be appreciated...
-AcId-
