Driving boosted car with no downpipe

I'm kinda in a sticky situation, I'm almost done my turbo installl but I am having a custom shop fab my downpipe since its a one off piece and its reallly tight by the AC compressor, the shop is 12 miles away. Will I be okay slowly driving there with my open turbo, also I'd be missing my O2 sensor as well .

No.

You are taking a big chance on ruining your turbo.... not to mention the FIRE your gonna be blowing out of the turbo.

Nope that will not work.

1) you have no o2 sensor hooked up.
2) I assume you went to bigger injectors.....is the engine tuned...wouldnt seem likely since your exhaust isnt done.(If it isnt tuned and you are running larger injectors with a MAF out of its nomral position it likely wouldnt start anyways)
3) As Orange said...there will be some hot(even not giving it much throttle)exhaust coming from the turbo.

Just tow it over there...would be cheaper in the long run

LOL, that's quote material right there!!! LOL.... anyway, the biggest thing i would be concerned with is the fire. Not so much the O2 sensor!

i dont know much about a turbo but i do know that without a rear o2 sensor i got 45 miles to a 1/4 tank. and it ran really rich. to make a long story short i traded mine and drove it for a day without the rear o2 with a o2 cheater thinking just the cheater would work until i got the sensor. it didnt for the record.
