Questions on when to go to open loop

I'm going to start with what the car is and some of the parts on the motor. The car is an 03 automatic Focus with the Roush turbo kit. The tranny is the Lentec Street Terminator with an LSD. I also have a 65mm throttle body, and the 2000 IM. I notice when I use 1/4 - 1/2 throttle the car shifts at around 3,000 RPM. At this point I'm starting to make boost but the car is still in closed loop. When the tranny shifts the car tends to run pretty lean for 4-5 seconds. I'm talking 17+ on the AFR guage. This make me pretty nervous. I'm wondering if I could get some pointers on shifting strategies and at what throttle position I should be switching to open loop. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It isnt that easy , I would contact your tuner , there is 3 places your OL/TP needs to be changed and 4 places your shifting needs to be changed

Then you also have the change the timers and fueling or making the TP changes will do nothing
