Question 04' SVT looking to turbo/supercharge...

I am a new member of focusfanatics.com but I have had my car for about 7mths now. Its an 04' strait from the dealer SVT with 91,000 miles on the odometer. I have a catback exhaust thrown on but have not upgraded the intake to cold air because I was weary about all the rain my state gets and having the moisture ruin my engine.

I am looking to prep my car for a turbo or go belt driven with a supercharger.

Suggestions?

LOL all you're going to get is a bunch of opinions and eventually an argument on superchargers vs turbos. I say go turbo, but really, your best bet is just to read through all the old Forced Induction threads.

I also say go turbo , what are your HP goals , what do you mostly with your car

A turbo kit done right with proper tuning is going to cost you between 5 and 6000.00

Steep ... but worth it ... I also say Turbo ... lots of people like the supercharger when they get em ... but then later begin to sell of the SC and upgrade to the Turbo.

The SVT zetec is already maxed out NA. Go turbo. Look at the SPA kits. Start low boost if you wish, but make sure your system is capable of more. There have been many happy people with SVTs and turbos running 225-250hp and 210-230tq at the wheels on these boards. Even on stock motors.

If you keep an eye out here tho you can prolly do it for less than that if you get some quality used parts. The only thing i wouldnt go used on is the turbo. Just to risky if you ask me. I did mine for right around 4.5-5k. i got some good deals off of some ppl on here.
